Bicycle PA Route A

In the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, a system of BicyclePA bicycle routes exists to provide direction and a guide utilizing the Commonwealth’s highways and rail-trails. The on road portions are share the road, bike lanes, and other facilities designed specifically for bicyclists traveling within the four corners of the Commonwealth.

Every bicyclist is responsible for his or her personal safety and welfare and for remaining alert and mindful of conditions on the roads or trails. BicyclePA users are expected to be licensed drivers and persons at least sixteen years of age who have several years of road bicycling experience.

BicyclePA Route A stretches 199 miles from the West Virginia border south of Mount Morris in Greene County, PA and just north of Morgantown, WV. North to Presque Isle State Park on Lake Erie in Erie, Pa\A. The route runs through the western part of the state, passing through Allegheny and Beaver County, PA. The northern half is generally flat while the southern half is gently rolling to hilly.
